As part of the promotional run up to Slammiversary, we were able to get an exclusive interview with one of the most prolific hardcore legends in the business, former ECW champion Tommy Dreamer about his upcoming match with Eddie Edwards at Slammiversary.
Tommy had the following to say about how Edwards stacks up against his previous opponents:
"He's a way better wrestler than Bryan Lee or Raven is in ring. I can see the future with a lot of people and Eddie Edwards has all the tools to be any company's heavyweight champion. So I look forward to our styles meshing and you know even back on Impact Wrestling after I'd just left WWE. I was 38, maybe 39 and I had to step in the ring with AJ Styles. And that was for the first time in a long time that I was nervous because I knew how good AJ was. So I know how good Eddie Edwards is. So I have to step up my game too because trust me, I still have a chip on my shoulder.
Here in the states we have a pitcher named Bartolo Cologne, who's two years younger than me and he's having a pretty good season where you're looking at Tom Brady who's the best quarterback in football. He's in his 40s so I'm gonna keep on going and plugging away.
Eddie Edwards is beyond talented, he reminds me of Lance Storm or Justin Credible. Edwards is incredibly good and I'm gonna have to be just as good."
