Still here? Well the first thing I have to say is.... Fuck me, this game is good! It has literally come out of nowhere. I've never read any of the Fables graphic novels (but have heard many good things about the DC/Vertigo series) and prior to starting the game up for the first time, I had no idea that this was even based off that series. In fact, I've never once bothered with TWAU based on the fact that I didn't get on with Telltale's The Walking Dead games (and yes, I'm aware this was released first) and the only reason I gave it a shot was because it was free with X-Box Live's games with Gold promotion. But yeah, The Wolf Among Us is a damn fine game. Damn fine. In fact, I don't think there's a better story driven game out there at the moment.
You assume the role of Bigby Wolf, the Sheriff of Fabletown - an area of New York with a twist which.... I'm not going to spoil for you. See, even though this is a very open ended game and there's an awful lot of paths you can go down to reach the game's logical conclusion, I emplore you: Don't spoil the plot or twist for this game. Just know that The Wolf Among Us is money well spent and has had me gripped for the last two weekends.
This game has everything you could want out of an adult game - drinking, violence, nudity, foul language and above all else one of the best plots you'll find in any current gen game. I am sorry that my words can't do this game enough justice but as an overall feel for how high I ranked it: I have since ordered myself volumes 1 to 3 of the Fables TPBs as it truly is a fascinating and captivating world that The Wolf Among Us throws you into.
This is easily the best of Telltale's current offerings and gets a solid 9 out of 10 from me.
