Josh Matthews talks Slammiversary Selling Out (The Impact Wrestling Interview)

Updated: Nov 27, 2018

It was reported earlier this week that Impact Wrestling's upcoming PPV, Slammiversary has sold out. As it is one of the few wrestling PPVs (outside of WWE's WrestleMania) to sell out in a long time, we reached out to Impact Wrestling's Josh Matthews by way of their international conference call to get his thoughts on this.

"Well, it just goes to show what great athletes there are in impact right now to sell out Slammiversary. To be able to say that the show's sold out - and I don't think it's the only wrestling show that sold out this year, I think there's there's been a few others I mean they've not been at capacity but super close to capacity like (our shows in) Windsor on June first and second so I think it speaks to the level of wrestling fans right now and how much influence that we all have as fans to to sell out a show on Sunday and then to sell out on shows across the country and in Toronto Ontario, it's a feel good moment. And I think I took about four seconds yesterday to say 'Oh cool. This graphics done. We're sold out what can we do for Monday Tuesday.' So you know, you're always just trying to push the ball down the field."
