Looking at Anime and Wrestling

At the most recent WWE PPV Crown Jewel Ricochet entered the ring dress in a full All Might body suit:

Many people out there may be thinking who or what is All Might. Well All Might is one of the Main characters from the hugely popular Manga and Anime Series, My Hero Academia. With the Manga series now on at chapter 235 spanned over 24 Volumes (Books) and 2 spin off’s. The first Volume was the highest selling Manga for over 6 months. The Anime has just kicked off its 4th season. My Hero Academia Is a story about Izuku Midoriya (Deku) a boy born without Super Powers in a world full of Super Powers but despite this he only dreams of becoming the worlds greatest hero inspired by his favourite hero the No. 1 Hero All Might, one day after a fateful encounter with his Hero All Might Deku Sarts his Journey to become the no. 1 Hero. Of course, Ricochet is not the only wrestler to use either Comic Book or Anime inspired outfits. New Day wore Sayain Inspired armour from Dragonball Z,

Jordan Myles wore a One Piece and Naruto inspired style top,

The Miz at Wrestlemainia 34 tried to bring the Ninja Spirit of Naruto to the ring.

Of course in Japan, Anime and wrestling have always gone hand in hand, the much beloved and Legendary character Tiger Mask from the 1969 Manga and Anime about about a professional wrestler who was a feared Heel in the United States, but became a Face after returning to Japan once a young boy told Tiger Mask that he wanted to be a villain just like him.

As of July 18 2010 the much loved Character has been brought to life by no less than five professional wrestlers

Tiger Mask was not the only Anime that was dedicated to wrestling there have been several Mangas and Anime including Ultimate Muscle, Kinnikuman and Wanna be the Strongest in the World. So As you can see Wrestling and Anime have had a long storied history together, The Great British Otaku Andrew More.
