Fans of Anime Bleach are rejoicing with the announcement of a return of the series, following 8 years of uncertainty fans of the series had all but given hope that the Thousand Year War of the Manga may never be adapted to Anime. However following a tweet from Weekly Shonen Jump announcing the news that Bleach will be returning to our screens, and that an official announcement is expected to air during the Bleach 20thanniversary project taking place this coming Saturday 21stof March.
The Bleach Manga written by Tite Kubo was first serialised in the Japanese Manga magazine Weekly Shonen Jump in 2001 and ran until 2014 when the story was brought to end after 686 chapters that make up 74 Manga Volumes. It was first adapted in to an Anime TV series in 2004, and was widely well received having aired until 2012 with 17 seasons and 366 episodes. However the Anime’s popularity began to fade, unfortunately due to the amount original filler the series has as the Anime kept catching up to the source Manga and would have to use filler episodes until the manga had enough chapters to adapt in to Anime, this caused continuity issues. Despite this, fans of the Anime have long awaited the news that final arc of the Manga, which many fans hold to be the best arc written, only fuelling the Anime fans flames, clamouring for it to be adapted.
