Another Former NXT Performer to Appear on AEW’s Deadly Draw Tag Tournament

While most eyes have been on signings made IMPACT Wrestling, due to them managing to deliver exactly as promised at their Slammiversary, bringing in the Good Brothers, EC3, Eric Young and many more. However they’re not the only company who have been bolstering their roster as of late, AEW have also been very busy the past few weeks, introducing the likes of Ricky Starks, FTR and most recently the former Zack Ryder, Matt Cardona as well as confirming that Eddie Kingston has now signed a contract with AEW.

Its not just the male roster either, with the announcement of their Deadly Tag Tournament where 16 women will compete in 8 tag teams facing of against each other for the Tournament Trophy. AEW have been adding to their female roster, recently making their in ring debut on AEW Dynamite were Diamante and Iveleisse, this past week during a segment for the Deadly Tag Tournament Nyla Rose found out her partner would be none other than the former WWE diva and NXT performer Cameron now known as Ariane Andrew.

Ariane will not be the only former NXT performer who will be making their in ring debut for AEW during the Deadly Tag Tournament tonight. During Chris Jericho’s YouTube/Podcast show Saturday Night Special (Not as good as Talking Trash) Chris Jericho confirmed Taynara Conti will be making her debut as she teams up along side the Dark Order’s Anna Jay. Taynara Conti competed in both of the WWE’s Mae Young Classic tournaments being eliminated in the early rounds both times and has been a member of the performance centre since 2016. Before signing with the NXT performance centre Taynara Conti was a Judo Practitioner with a Black Belt in martial arts, she also transitioned in to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and competed in regional tournaments and even had trials for the Brazilian Olympic Team, so she is a legit bad ass.

The Deadly Draw Tag Tournament starts tonight at Midnight (BST) on YouTube, 8 Teams that have been picked at random and will compete against each other to win the tournaments trophy. So far only 6 of the 16 competitors have been confirmed as Nyla Rose, Ariane, Anna Jay, Taynara Conti, Allie and Brandi Rhodes. It is believed the likes of Penolpe Ford, Diamante and Ivelisse are likely to play some part, but still leaves plenty of spots for some surprises.
