The Six-Step Process is a regular interview that we run on this website on a regular basis. Basically we ask the same 6 questions in a kind of “quick-fire” interview with a random top independent talent. This week’s 6-Step is with not one but two of the indie scene's top stars, The Mighty Militia - Mike Mitchell and Johnny Moran.
1. What got you into wrestling?
Mike: I was a long time fan. As an athlete and one who appreciates the art and sport of professional wrestling, I felt that I had what it took to step into the squared circle.
Johnny: I have been a fan since as far back as I can remember, my older brother James was into wrestling and I always looked up to him. So he had Saturday Nights Main Event on VHS that he recorded and Starcade'87 and wrestlemaina 8. I've watched those about a billion times. So I stayed a fan my entire life and when Mike and I found a school there was no hesitation to not join.
2. What’s been your favourite experience so far?
Mike: My favorite experience so far has been the people I've met along the way, well known to unknown.
Johnny: Mine has been wrestling against my tag partner Mike Mitchell at the Scranton CYC. That's where we both grew up watching wrestling live. My entire family was in the crowd and my Uncle Kevin that took me to the matches as a kid was there and gave me a huge hug after the match and I thanked him for always talking me there.
3. Where has been your favourite place to work so far?
Mike: My favorite place to work is Tommy Dreamer's House of Hardcore.
Johnny: The Norfolk Scope for Big Time Wrestling for Steve Perkins. Just the history alone gives me goosebumps thinking about that building.
4. What would be your dream scenario?
Mike: A WWE Contract!
Johnny: The same; A WWE contract with my Tag Partner Mike Mitchell. We have been best friends since we met in college.
5. Who have been your favourite people to work with?
Mike: Rock n Roll Express and my tag partner Johnny Moran.
Johnny: Mike Mitchell, Mik Drake, Better Than U, The Now, Keita Murray, The Impeccables, Jerry Penders, The Down Boyz, The Real Life Heelz, Dan Blazer, and The Rock and Roll Express
6. What does the future hold for you?
Mike: The future is always unpredictable, but I hope mine is injury free.
Johnny: Just to keep pushing forward as The Mighty Militia and working on our craft.
