An Interview with Savannah Summers (The Six Step Process)

The Six-Step Process is a regular interview that we ran on both the Team Venom website and Team Venom Magazine and will run on this website on a regular basis. Basically we ask the same 6 questions in a kind of “quick-fire” interview with a random top independent talent. This week’s 6-Step is with one of the "First Lady of Australian Wrestling", Savannah Summers.

1. What got you into wrestling?

When I was about 9 I saw wrestling on TV for the first time and fell in love. I knew right away it was something I wanted to do so when I turned 18 and met some boys that did it I started right away. I think the fact that the women are so attractive but can still hold their own in the ring was very appealing to me. I like to think that women can do anything men can do.

2. What’s been your favourite experience so far?

I would have to say my favourite experience so far would be having a WWE tryout. I just got to learn so much from that and got a great sense of accomplishment out of it.

3. Where has been your favourite place to work so far?

Working for Shimmer, Shine and AIW in the States was fantastic. Also working in Singapore for SPW was fantastic and something I would love to do again.

4. What would be your dream scenario?

Getting anything shot with WWE would be fantastic. Working in the states, Japan or Mexico would also be a dream. I'm always keep to get more championships under my belt so that's something I'm always working towards.

5. Who have been your favourite people to work with?

I loved working with both Matt and Chris Basso as you can do so much more working with a guy. I really enjoyed working with Mia Yim ( TNAs Jade ) when I wrestled for Shine. I was lucky enough to have a lot of matches with Billie Kay and Payton Royce before being signed to NXT and really enjoyed my many matches with both of them.

6. What does the future hold for you?

Hopefully more traveling and more championships. Looking to bring back the RCW City Chicks division to help support women's wrestling in Australia more would be great also. Something if always enjoyed doing is getting the girls names out there more and everyone a chance to shine.
