An Interview with Roarke - The Six Step Process.

Look gang...... are you looking? Its The Six Step Process time. If you are new to this, its where we sit with an independent wrestler and ask them 6 questions in a quickfire style interview. Any wrestler we get the privilege of talking to get the same six questions, and then we share the results with you guys.

This week I caught up with one of Aspire Wrestling Alliance's longest running member Roarke. He has been with Aspire since the doors opened nearly three years ago. Here's what he had to say.

1. What got you into wrestling?

Myself and a couple school friends used to 'wrestle' on an old trampoline, by that I mean we'd just do random moves to one and other and call it a 'match'. Then we found out a proper training school (ASPIRE Wrestling Alliance) was opening just around the corner from us so we thought we'd give it a go. Fast forward nearly 3 years later and I'm the only one still doing it.

2. What’s been your favourite experience so far?

My favourite experience? There's so many. Every match I have there's a great experience of hearing the crowds reaction to what I do, whether I'm launching people in the air or whether I'm jumping in the air and kicking someone's head off, there's always a reaction. My main favourite experience however has gotta be when I wrestled my original mentor, Stixx at the Big 1 festival in Derby in 2018 in front of a good couple hundred people, it was fantastic.

3. Where has been your favourite place to work so far?

My favourite place to work so far? Well so far in my short career, it's got to be ASPIRE, it's my home brand and everyone knows who I am and knows to expect a hard hitting match.

4. What would be your dream scenario?

Personally I would love a match against Dave Mastiff or Keith Lee. Both men are phenomenal talents who don't hold back and I'd love to get the chance to square off against either of them.

5. Who have been your favourite people to work with?

My favourite people to work with? It's a toss up between three men who've all taught me alot, the three men being Stixx, Kyle Kingsley and Barricade

6. What does the future hold for you?

In my opinion, you're only limited by yourself. If you're gonna hold yourself down, you're not gonna make it anywhere. Whereas if you truly believe that you can do anything you set your mind to and you're willing to work your backside off to get there? You have zero limitations whatsoever. So who knows exactly what the future holds for me, so long as I keep my focus, I'm hoping for big things and perhaps you'll start to hear the name "Roarke" talked about way more in the future.

Stixx is on my list, as is Mr Chase. I spend a lot of time at HOP so will be hearing from a few of their guys 😁

I really want to see BANE on there lmao.

In all seriousness though, I saw DDA on here the other week, wouldn't mind hearing from his BSA tag partner. Follow House of Pain every now and again, Stixx seems decent too

Thanks very much. I don't really have an order. Just a list of people I'm working through. It all depends on who has time and wants to answer really.

It's cool seeing some unknowns get spotlighted on here Sarah, are you going for "big name, big name, unknown" in that order? (Just curious)
