The Six-Step Process is a regular interview that we ran on both the Team Venom website and Team Venom Magazine and will run on this website on a regular basis. Basically we ask the same 6 questions in a kind of “quick-fire” interview with a random top independent talent. This week’s 6-Step is with one of the world's top indie wrestlers, Rickey Shane Page
1. What got you into wrestling?
I watched wrestling when I was very young as I got older I got out of it. But when I was 14 a friend of mine ordered King of the ring 98 and when I saw Mick Foley get thrown off the cage I knew I wanted to be a wrestler. It's a weird moment to think that haha. But I was hooked.
2. What’s been your favourite experience so far?
Being able to go to the uk is by far my favorite experience I've had. All the fans are amazing. All the shows I got to be apart of and go watch were fantastic. It was a dream come true. I never thought I would be able to do that.
3. Where has been your favourite place to work so far?
Alpha-1 in Canada. I love the atmosphere. The fans are great. And all the talent there is top notch. Honorable mentions to Attack, CZW, FCP, and Beyond Wrestling.
4. What would be your dream scenario?
I've got to live a lot of dreams in wrestling. If I can just keep putting out good content and being a part of something great I'll be happy. To make a living off wrestling would be amazing but I know how hard that can be.
5. Who have been your favourite people to work with?
That is such a hard question. There's been so many. Pete Dunne, Mark Andrews, Matt Tremont, Danny Havoc, 2 Cold Scorpio, Abyss, Josh Alexander, Ethan Page. I could go on and on! There's a lot of great talent out there.
6. What does the future hold for you?
I have no idea! I just try to have fun, stay relevant, and have good matches. I would love to come back to the UK for another tour. I'm having fun right now. So I'm just going to keep trying to do that.
