An Interview with Danny Chase - The Six Step Process.

Hey gang! It's The Six Step Process time again. For those that are new, The Six Step Process has become a regular feature where we ask an up and coming independent wrestler six questions. Each wrestler gets the same six questions. This week I had a catch up with 'The Absolute Legend' Danny Chase. A guy I have had the joy of watching wrestle for a few years now, and I truly believe he is underestimated.

1. What got you into wrestling?

Wrestling was the hot thing when I was at school, we used to wrestle on the playground. Eventually when the backyard wrestling craze was big I would do that with friends in my back garden. Eventually my mum got sick of us almost breaking our necks so she found us a proper wrestling school to go to which would eventually become House of Pain in Nottingham.

2. What’s been your favourite experience so far?

That’s a tough one, it could be working for PCW with Diamond Dave Andrews against T-Bone and Rampage Brown. It was a huge crowd, there were so many names on the show, it was a great roster of people. It was a great springboard for us. Or it could be the street fight I had against Dave Andrews for House of Pain. I might have ended up in hospital after it but the reaction to that match is unlike anything I’ve ever had before.

3. Where has been your favourite place to work so far?

Again, there’s been so many. ‘The Shed’ where House of Pain runs in Beeston has been such an important venue for me personally. But then there’s Lucha Britannia where the crowd were pushed right up to the ring, and they were so loud, I love working in venues where you can feel everything from the crowd.

4. What would be your dream scenario?

The Main Event of Wrestlemania.

5. Who have been your favourite people to work with?

There’s been so many, I’d miss too many people out if I tried to list them.

6. What does the future hold for you?

I turn 29 this year and I always said to myself I’d stop at 30 … we’ll see what happens though. Until then it’s just onwards and upwards as far as I can go.
