Video Package and Promo
Before the show opens up, a video package plays recapping the events of last weeks opening match, when Alexander Hammerstone interfered in the match hitting Mance Warner with big Yakuza kick costing him the match. This then goes into a promo from Mance straight after said match, directed at Hammerstone, Mance lets him know that he’s coming for him, that Hammerstone is dead man walking, and he's taking that gold from around his waist, calling it the people’s gold and he will bring it back to the people.
This week on MLW Fusion
As scores are currently tied between MLW and AAA with one win a piece, week two has two more matches, in this weeks main event Tom Lawler teaming with his fellow Team Filthy stable mate Dominic Garinni as they face of against AAA’s feline favourites Puma King and Extreme Tiger. Also the first match of MLW x AAA super series week two, Douglas James will be going up against Lucha legend Averno.
Douglas James (MLW) Vs Averno (AAA)
We get a pre match interview with Douglas James and Alicia Atout, in which he talks about his opponent as well as his accolades in MMA, BJJ, and Kick Boxing but he is more than just a some Kick Boxer trying to be a wrestler he is a hybrid athlete and he never says die.
As the match kicks off its easy to see something different about this contest in a switch from the norm, its actually the Lucha competitor who has the size and weight advantage over his American counter part, with Douglas James having a speed and agility advantage over Averno. Douglas James shows off his technical skills, with a great ankle pick take down, straight transitioning into a rear naked choke forcing Averno to get to ropes to break the hold. He then uses his speed advantage to avoid Averno landing drop kick, forcing Averno the ring side. At ring side Averno takes advantage as the veteran uses the environment to his advantage, using the side of the ring, the barriers and even part of a door left behind from Tijuana Barrio match. Once they are back in the ring Averno hits James with a turnbuckle power bomb and he goes for the cover but James kicks out at two count, the two then start to trade strikes and all though Averno is bigger its James who hits harder and gets the advantage in the match, Averno once more escapes to ring side but is hit with suicide dive from James and immediately takes the match back into ring. In the ring James his Averno with super kick, metora combination, goes for the cover with a clear slow count from the AAA referee Averno is able to kick out at two, is the referee playing favourites for the AAA competitor? With that James starts to lay in a couple of kicks to Averno’s chest, Averno catches one of the kicks, grabs James by the head and lands a massive forearm shot to James’s head, knocking out the MLW competitor and stopping the match, giving AAA the lead once again. AAA 2 MLW 1
This was great opening match, Douglas James is one of my favourite MLW wrestlers and this was another example of why I like him as a competitor he crisp in the ring and has a great array of strikes and despite loosing he still looked good. I knew very little of Averno as I do not get to see a lot of Lucha wrestling shows, he performed his role as a Rudo (heel) admirably, you can see why he is legend, as he’s not young man any more but he managed to keep up with the much younger James and used his experience well to get James over despite beating him.

Back Stage Interview
Alicia Atout is standing back stage with Davey Boy Smith Jr as she looks to find out if he and Brian Pillman are recovering following what happened in Philadelphia, Smith Jr lets her know that he has recovered and been cleared for competition during the super series. He also confirms despite the fact that Pillman was recovering from broken Jaw which he had to have wired shut and that they saw the right doctor in Mexico so Pillman has also been cleared to compete. Breaking News
A new match just signed for the MLW x AAA Super Series, Injustice Vs Jinetes Del Aire, the match will also be a contest for the AAA Trio Tag Team Titles.
Back Stage Interview
Following the breaking news, Alicia Atout is with all three members of Injustice, Middleweight Champion Myron Reed, Kotto Brazil and Jordan Oliver, as she looks to find out how they feel about their up coming match for the AAA trio tag titles. They remark that people always underestimate them because they don’t respect them, but at the end of the day they will win those titles just like they won the middleweight championship. She also comments that despite the damage done by Injustice to Brian Pillman including breaking his Jaw, that he has been cleared for competition in the Super Series, they say its because of the money they have because of their names and it’s the only reason he's been cleared, insinuating that Pillman had paid the doctor off to be cleared.
Video Package
Cameras had caught the Dynasty members Richard Holliday and Alexander Hammerstone as they were crossing the border, apparently as they crossed over they were trying to hide from the locals. The camera man then ask Holliday if it was true that he was defending the Caribbean Title which he had stolen from Savio Vega, he responds by saying yes but admits that he actually does not know who he will be fighting. The Camera man lets him know that he will be facing off against Chessman. Holliday responds that he doesn't play kids games so this will be an easy match up before sending the camera man away, as they were trying to hide.

Post Match Interview
Immediately after last weeks main event, Alicia Atout is waiting to speak with Alexander Hammerstone following his win over Laredo Kid, she asks him about why he would interfere in Mance Warners match costing MLW a point. He dismisses the question and then follows up by telling Alicia that the tanning beds here have room for two and would she want to join him for a couples tanning session. Just as she is about to unload her disgust at Hammerstone, Mance comes out of nowhere and two start to brawl back stage.
Still to come in Super series
Octagon Jr, Brian Pillman Jr, Nino Hamburguesa
Back Stage Interview
Alicia Atout is back stage with team filthy members Tom Lawler and Dominic Garrini, as they address their ambition to become tag team champions, to take away the titles from the Von Erich brothers.
Back Stage Brawl
Alicia Atout is on the look out for either Mance or Hammerstone to find out what is happening with their brawl, just as she's about to open a door, they both coming crashing through as they continue their brawl.
Main Event
Team Filthy Tom Lawler and Dominic Garrini (MLW) Vs Extreme Tiger and Puma King (AAA).
They do start the match abiding by tag team rules as, Tom Lawler and Extreme Tiger start the match and despite his diminutive size, Extreme Tiger is able to get the better of Tom Lawler forcing the tag to Dominic Garrini. As Garrini enters the match so does Puma King, Garrini is able to use legit skills in judo and BJJ to get the upper hand, he attempts a blind tag to Tom Lawler but the ref does not allow it, and they are forced to tag properly. Not long after that Puma King and Extreme Tiger use a blind tag but this time the referee allows it, it certainly would seem that the AAA referees maybe playing favouritism. From here the match deteriorates into complete chaos and it does not take long for no tags to be necessary as they just start coming into the ring as they please and doing moves to each other, the chaos being so much that I completely lost who was legal, I am not sure if another tag was made, it was just move after move and very difficult for the commentary team to call, let alone me try to write it. Towards the latter end of the match Team Filthy manage to get the upper hand and Tom Lawler is able to catch Extreme Tiger with a rear naked choke, leading to submission victory for team filthy. With this MLW once again tie the scores in the Super Series with two wins each.
This was not great match although still better than I expected, Garrini shows some improvement in the ring, Tom Lawler was his usual crisp style, Puma King and Extreme Tiger showed why they are fan favorites with great Lucha moves and team work. My main complaint is the match just broke down into chaos with no tags, people just coming in to the ring as they please. This was not a classic tag team style from the 80’s that I love but a crazy Lucha rules tag match that seem to have no rules at all.

Next week on MLW
Richard Holliday will be defending the Caribbean title belt against Chessman, also we have the returning hart foundation Brian Pillman Jr and Davey Boy Smith Jr against two other second generation competitors in Rey Escorpin Jr and Texana Jr.
Back Stage Birthday celebration
It was Alicia Atout’s Birthday and as some competitors were helping her celebrate with a little party, as we are shown the cake (I am sure you see what's coming), in burst Hammerstone and Warner who are still brawling as Mance gets the upper hand he is able to shove Hammerstone’s face right into poor Alicia’s Birthday Cake.
Final Thoughts
An Average show, with one match just above average and the other just below average, the Hammerstone/Mance Warner brawl helped to keep show moving along. Other than that there were some decent promos from the talent, great to see any Dynasty promo has not been effected by the loss of MJF, both Holliday and Hammerstone are great with their promo time.
