MLW are still not running any shows due to the ongoing Global Health Crisis however there is still plenty of News to talk about;
MLW to recognise Caribbean Championship?
Earlier this year Dynasty Member Richard Holliday faced off against Savio Vega who was the World Wrestling Council (WWC) Caribbean Champion. Proud champion Savio Vega brought his title with him when he faced off against Holliday. Richard Holliday would go on to win the match. But despite the WWC Caribbean Championship not being on the line, as the title is not sanctioned for MLW Holiday would go on to steal the belt from Savio.
Richard Holliday has been claiming that he is now the Caribbean Champion, even defending the belt at MLW’s last taped show in Mexico. Since then Holliday’s Lawyer/Father has been hounding MLW to make the tittle official, despite the fact that the title is owned by WWC. So far MLW have rejected all motions, prompting Holliday to take his cause to social media with a petition that was re-tweeted thousands of times. Holliday denies any claims that the tweet was shared by bots paid for by either himself or his Lawyer/Father.
MLW are now considering setting up an official tittle match to finally settle the dispute between Richard Holliday and Savio Vega. MLW having spoken about the match taking place in Peurto Rico. However Holliday worried about his personal safety and suggested that the title match take place on a private island. Once the dispute is finally settled, it could lead to MLW officially recognising the Caribbean Championship.
Low Ki has been Suspended
At the Last taped show in Mexico, Team Filthy and American Top Team stars Tom Lawler, King Mo and Dominic Garinni were scheduled to hold a press conference, however prior to it starting Low Ki crashed the Conference. Low Ki was looking for revenge for what happened during the Match between King Mo and Low Ki, in which Team Filthy interfered causing Low Ki to loose the match.
Since then Dan Lambert has bombarded the “The Lone Wolf of Brooklyn” with Lawsuits, claiming undisclosed damages to Team Filthy and American Top Team caused by having the Press Conference cancelled. Taking things one step further earlier this month Dan Lambert added to his case to the Athletic Commission, claiming Low Ki is out of his mind and not mentally stable to compete, and has used his influence to get Low Ki Suspended indefinitely.
Low Ki has vowed to fight both the lawsuits and the athletic commission's suspension.
